AUM, as I understood…
“Jnana Yoga” is not a journey from “ignorance to wisdom”.
It is rather a journey from “awareness of ignorance “ to wisdom.
Any positive effort to “do” something cannot be without obstacles.
But to “BE” is not any effort at all.
Gandhiji says his life is the story of “his experiments with truth”.
But for one who never takes ‘Truth’ as insentient this statement itself appears as ‘half true’.
For him Gandhiji’s biography is also ‘the story of the Truth’s experiments with him’.
Thinking is the only strength of mind.
And unfortunately it is the only weakness too.
Feeling the necessity of something or the achievement of some aim is the WEIGHT in life.
If one doesn’t feel that “weight” he naturally FLOATS in the waters of life.
Satisfaction that comes from the feeling “I’ve everything enjoyable” is different from the satisfaction that results from the feeling “I need nothing else”.
The latter is more complete.
In this world the only way to become satisfied is habituating oneself to coexist with a problem.
A simple” nothing” carrying the cold flesh of the body continuously burning with the hot feelings of mind.
Every action is an ‘ink mark’ of and on my life.
Namajapa is not such another mark; but the erasure of all other marks.
OUR ONLY PROPERTY
You can unveil the hidden obscurities by being more natural.
Or you can veil it still more.
In both cases what changes is certainly not your nature.
For, it is the only property about which you can assert as your ‘own’.
Each instant here in time has a lot of freshness in it.
And hence it demands new insight and novel outlook.
Silence can never be conditional. It can only be natural.
A black board is said to be empty if there is nothing written on it.
Emptiness is not another letter written on black board.
Mind can get hold to only one closed concept at a time.
That is why totality is always obscure to the rationality. (Ex: language of Vedas)
If you are nil;
Then you are full.
RELATIVE – ABSOLUTE
When the ‘Two’ of Dwaita become one in Yoga (that is to unite)
Then what remains is ADWAITA.
I want to follow others.
Only to overcome them.
Learning should not become an investment.
It itself is profit.
Being unsettled is to keep all the possible doors
Allowing to different ways of life style open.
GOOD Vs GREAT
To become great every element of the Universe should help.
But to become good is totally in one’s own hands.
MEANING OF LIFE
Every one is trying hard to “give” meaning to one’s own life.
But nobody is ready to “know” its existing meaning.
Life is a court of law; where world is the plaintiff and mind is the defendant.
‘Efforts’ and ‘results’ are the restlessly arguing lawyers of both sides.
The law followed by them is the natural law.
And the only judgement is ‘adjournment’.
Philosophy is just a language. It simply indicates the substance.
It is not the substance in itself.
Every philosophy is extremity; and has its corresponding opposite.
Hence it can’t escape the relative field to become the ultimate Truth.
The source of a thought is the tendency behind it.
Again this tendency is strengthened by the intensity of thinking.
This is a vicious circle, which becomes stronger and stronger tightening the ropes of bondage.
To watch everything with a smile is the king’s way of life.
CHANGE IS THE LAW
There is no rigidity in a flow.
Destination forces us to leave the stern opinions we hold in our minds at some time or other.
If we abuse our freedom by not listening to these revelations then we diminish our vision.
We named it ‘ROSE’.
But that thing doesn’t know what ‘ROSE’ is?
Life is a struggle
Not for “Existence”
But for “Enlightenment”
The real measure for ‘heroism’ is not winning a battle.
But not ceasing to fight to realize the proper ideal.
Absolute Presence is not a fleeting experience.
It can never be defined as “neither past nor future”.
Either it is nothing; not even one second; or everything. That is everlasting.
Leisure should be enjoyed only without anxiety. It is a responsibility with beauty in it.
Being anxious and passing time without doing anything is lethargy. If one cannot feel the beauty in the first, then it is better to involve in any useless job; for the latter is dangerous.
‘Sadhana’ is clarity ‘of’ thought.
‘Sadhya’ is clarity ‘from’ thought.
It is not necessary that everything ‘meaningful’ should be ‘rational’.
(Ex: love, devotion etc.)
The word ‘Absolute’ is a relative word.
The word ‘indefinable’ is a definition. And the word ‘Beyond mind’ is created by mind.

From “IGNORANCE” to “INNOCENCE”.
Forget about any ‘identity’.
Throw yourself in best of thoughts.
Rest will follow by itself.
‘Reason’ is the garment I ware to be social.
To ‘introvert’ is to take bath; to cleanse myself.
To make it perfect I never hesitate to denude myself.
UNIVERSE IN UNIT
Each pair of eyes we see has a ‘mini world’ in it.
Each look has in its heart a conglomeration of million colors, which no artist can portray.
And its life is an instant. It changes its form every moment.
The word ‘creativity’ itself has a smell of ‘expression’ in it.
But what I feel is creativity is rather an ‘experience’ than an ‘expression’.
A wonderful piece of art may be the expression of creativity.
But to watch it also one need to be creative.
LET THEM HAPPEN. DON’T DO.
Keep all the doors open.
But…. Stay inside.
LET IT SURFACE FROM THE DEPTHS
Know the ‘Art’
But not the ‘Act’
For a true ‘Sadhak’ ‘Japa’ or ‘Dhyana’ is neither something that bestows protection,
Nor something that promises salvation.
But an uncontrollable outpouring of ‘CELEBRATION’.
BLESS ME LORD!
I strive to be a HUMANE
You are ‘created’.
Now the only way to pay your gratitude
Is in trying to be ‘CREATIVE’.
‘Mathematics’ is in between mind and matter.
That is why it is more tangible than any thought and more subtle than any object.
‘Chetana’ of ‘Adwaitin’ is not ‘Sunya’ of ‘Buddhist’. It is Universality.
Then ‘Vairagya’ becomes not the negation of desire but the transformation from ‘self desire’
To ‘Universal desire’. Which shows that only a ‘Viragi’ can be a true lover, a real Dharnatma.
AWARENESS – KNOWLEDGE
‘Sadhana’ and ‘Swadhyaya’ are two distinct aspects.
The former is about ‘self knowledge’ (Being) and the latter is ‘knowledge possessed by the self’ (becoming).
ALL IN ONE = ‘ALONE’
If I do not know why a bad thing is bad and a good thing is good, then even if I’m good
My life is rather a duplicate one not the original.
ALL THAT WE DO
We begin with “Knowledge of experience”. And strive after “Experience of knowledge”.
But finally reach the conclusion:
“Experience is knowledge” and “Knowledge is experience”.
A good instrument or aid enables its owner to become free from his dependence on it.
GENERAL – PARTICULAR
The range of similarity is the simple reason that caused the famous struggle between ‘General’ and ‘Particular’.
In fact general is also particular among all generals, and particular is also general because its particularity can be explained only in other general terms.
The greatness of knowledge about any thing should not only be estimated by its extensiveness and depth. It should also be measured by its awareness of its own boundaries.
Because no knowledge is complete.
If this world with all of its laws and order is the creation of mind
Then that mind is certainly not of an individual who is a part of creation.
Any thought related to ‘me’ that sprouts up from my mind
drifts my subjectivity from ‘I’ to ‘not I’.
LET THEM APPEAR – DON’T WATCH
The thoughts that rise in mind or the actions done by body should not disturb the soul as ripples in water but like birds simply fly over just reflecting for a while in it.
All the efforts of people to make their lives ‘useful’ have yielded nothing.
But whoever tried to make one’s life ‘meaningful’ has certainly made it useful.
Every look that is cast doesn’t simply ‘watch’ something.
It struggles to ‘catch’ something in which operation it haplessly fails.
The result that a ‘Sadhaka’ gets is not like gathering something and storing it somewhere.
It is like filling air into a balloon. At every stage it is complete and fulfilled. A stage comes when it explodes and its individuality is dissolved into Universality.
Body and mind together form one whole organism in every other being.
Only human’s consciousness has the ability to watch the activities of mind.
DEATH? BREATH IT
Be prepared to face death at any instant with a mind completely cleared from the dirt of doubt.
My aim is just to ‘live’ until I die. Does it cost anything?
šäntih…… šäntih…… šäntih
When the way things are going is perfect why should I interfere with them?
I find no reason to trouble myself.
Now even ‘sweet memories’ appear as unnecessary burden.
And the ‘beautiful dreams’ about future only express my foolishness.
Present? Even here I find little to catch hold of. “Just say thanks to Lord”.
If philosophy is the ‘study of life’ then there are two ways to attain it.
1. Beginning from life to teaching
2. Beginning from teaching to life.
Any way…. they should meet.
ANALYSIS ON ANALYSIS
Detachment begins in thought. I should free myself from thinking about any aspect if wish to detach myself from it.
Though analysis helps in the beginning stages one should get rid of these calculations after reaching a certain level. If I am studded with sufficient stuff then analysis happens through us. We need not worry about it.
Is one’s aspiration a journey from ‘natural’ to ‘super natural’ [General to particular] or the reverse? Answer to this question clears all the doubts regarding one’s school of thought. Weather he belongs to prav÷ tti or niv÷ tti .
There may come a time when I’m encircled by people expecting from I great thoughts which I’ll be at a great need of but don’t get. But for now I’ve no poverty of thoughts, I feel, though I find none to share with. I prefer and love to be in this state than in the former.
SIVA – JIVA
What Siva watches is only ‘Present’. When He hands it over to ‘Jiva’ it becomes ‘past’ for Jiva. ‘Past’ is the source of imagination and therefore it is the foundation of expectation about future. This handing over from Siva to Jiva is possible only when they are different.
His watching is His blessing!
A temple or tïrtha is not just a ‘memorial’. They are the sources of eternal and everlasting torrent. One can feel the fresh and fruitful message they give that suits only him even today.
HANDLING LUST AND HATRED
Mind is like a piece of paper. In case of weak-minded people, it is their sole life, and flows without any sense of direction, spoiling their lives.
Many ignorant aspirants try to bind it at a given spot, suppressing its natural movement.
A blessed one fixes its boundaries wisely and allows it to fly, as it likes with full of intensity.
FOUR SEASONS OF ASPIRATION
SPRING represents the inclination, the interest and the beginning of a new way of life.
SUMMER represents the thirst, the uncontrollable inner urge to know the truth or to reach
AUTUMN represents the receptivity, experience of Lord’s compassion and quench of
WINTER represents the completeness, stillness and culmination.
OBSCURITY IS THE MEDIUM
Once I used to think that my effort was to move away from the obscurity of thought to its clarity; but now I’ve realized that it is impossible; for thought itself is nothing but obscurity. So there is nothing as ‘clarity of thought’.
Every instant of time and every inch of place here demands a certain duty from us. We are here to do, whether with mind or word or body. Confining our ability to a particular job as if nothing other than that is our duty is a trespass.
Realization is devoid of sädhana. Sädhana is an effort, that is karma; and karma is to change; or modify. Even if we reach our ideal by ‘changing’ either circumstances or ourselves; the craving for further change will be there. If our real state itself is changeless then why should we change? Let’s keep quite! No! That’s impossible, for we are born to change. Also, being changeless doesn’t mean an effort to control the change.
THEORY – PRACTICE
Are they really rival? Is it possible simply to divide them apart? Has practice nothing to do with mind? Is not the thinking process of the mind that digested the theoretical facts, a practice?
No word can denote any feeling, however minute it may be. But they say that memory and thinking are ‘linguistic’. If it so, then every individual in one’s deeper level has one’s own language; that is meanings attributed to the words. On the periphery communication is manageable, but when one dares to delve the depths one finds oneself helpless.
Enjoying a smooth drive is different from exploring new heights of a mountain, where the value of pleasure and pain are lost and what remains and what remains is the single thought of reaching our goal.
I’ve been doing research all these years! The conclusions I reach are not totally new and unknown. But the only difference is they are now more effective and influential.
Life is like a circle. Ups and downs come and go. As one succeeds in his efforts to reach the center, their range gradually diminishes and becomes zero at one stage.
So, the range of ups and downs we experience depends upon how far we are to the center, that is the essence of life.
Think! But not with mind. Feel! But not with heart.
Let us blast this shell of selfishness and come out victorious.
prav÷tti - niv÷tti
Is sädhana a journey from something ‘natural’ to ‘supernatural’ (general to particular) or the reverse of it? Answer to this question clearly tells whether one belongs to prav÷tti or niv÷tti.
